Apple Pay

Apple Pay is compatible with the following devices:

  • iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE

  • The newest models of the iPad (iPad Air 2) and the iPad mini 3

  • Apple Watch that is paired either with an iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6 or 6 Plus

Please follow these steps to add your Town & Country Bank debit card into Apple Pay:

  • Open Settings à Wallet & Apple Pay

  • Tap Add Credit or Debit Card

  • Scan the card or enter the details manually

  • Enter the correct security code in the “Card Details” section

  • Accept the Terms and Conditions

  • You may be prompted to call the Call Center to validate your identity.

*** Please note for Apple Pay the billing address of the iTunes account on the iPhone MUST match the card address associated with your Town & Country Bank and Trust Co. debit card or you will receive an error message. ***

Paying in stores:

To pay in stores, there is no need to wake your iPhone or open an app. Just hold iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID. You’ll see “Done” on the display, along with subtle vibration and beep, letting you know your payment information was sent. On Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch up to the reader. A gentle tap and beep confirm that your payment information was sent.

Paying in apps and on the web:

To pay in apps and on the web with iPhone and iPad, select Apple Pay as the payment method during checkout and place your finger on Touch ID. To pay on Mac in Safari, choose Apple Pay, then complete the purchase with your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Samsung Pay

Use Samsung Pay almost ANYWHERE you would swipe or tap your card!

When you use Samsung Pay, every transaction is authenticated by your fingerprint or PIN number, and a random token is used instead of your actual card details, so your information stays safe.

Samsung Pay is compatible with the following devices:

  • Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge +, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S 6 Active

Please follow these steps to add your Town & Country Bank debit card into Samsung Pay:

  • From the device’s home screen, touch Apps
  • Touch Samsung Pay
  • If the app is not already installed, download from Google Play.

  • Touch Add a credit or debit card
  • Align your card inside the frame to automatically detect the card number and expiration date
    • a. Touch Enter card manually if your device cannot detect the card information.

  • Enter the remaining information and touch Next.
  • If requested, enter your billing address and touch Save.
  • Review the terms and conditions for accuracy, and then touch Agree to All.
  • You may be prompted to call the call center. 

 

Paying in stores:

Samsung has a lock screen that has a swipe up from the small Samsung Pay bar just above the home button. Place your finger on the home button to verify your fingerprint and hold the back of the phone against the payment terminal. Once the payment is made, you will get an Android notification that confirms the merchant name and the amount of the purchase. This information is also documented in the Samsung Pay App.

Google Pay

Google Pay is compatible with the following devices:

  • Any NFC-enabled device running Android 4.4 KitKat or higher

Please follow these steps to add your Town & Country Bank debit card into Google Pay:

  • Navigate to the Google Play Store then download and install Google Pay. From the app, tap the Add icon to add a card.
  • Line up the card in the photo viewer and take the picture.
    • Alternatively, tap Add Manually then enter the required info (e.g. card number, expiration date etc.)
  • Enter the 3-digit security (CVC) number on the back of the card.
  • Enter the street address
  • Confirm the card details then tap Continue
  • Scroll through and read the Terms of Service then tap Accept.
  • If no screen lock is currently set up on the device:
    • A screen lock is required to use Google Pay
    • If the screen lock is ever disabled, you’re prompted to reset it or all cards are removed.
      • Tap activate.
      • Select the preferred screen lock type then follow the onscreen instructions for setup. 
  • If presented, enter then re-enter a 4-digit Payments PIN.
  • The card is now visible in Google Pay
  • You may be prompted to call the call center.
  • Touch Done to complete the process.
  • After your card is added to Google Pay, it will be verified by the payment card network (i.e. MasterCard) and the card issuer. On average, verification will take approximately 5-10 minutes. During that time, you will be unable to use your card in Google Pay.
    • You can continue to add cards while others are being verified.

How do I use Google Pay?

Unlock your device. No need to open the app. Hold the back of your device near the contactless payment terminal. Your phone will beep or vibrate, and you will receive a confirmation on screen to show your payment was made.
